It is assumed that the United Methodist Church will split up (at least start the process) next year at the General Conference where delegates come from all over the world to vote as a governing body for the UMC. There may be several new churches spawned from this separation. The folks who are supporting the traditional values will have the opportunity to join the Global Methodist Church.
