Pastor’s Ponderings, Wonderings, Wanderings

Easter Sunday has come and gone but we still will have Sunday each week to celebrate Easter all over again. Our worship of God and Jesus Christ are all about Easter all year long. While God has always been and always will be, Jesus as man has a very definite time line. Our history is marked by Jesus appearing before us as one of us. Each Sunday is a time when we give glory and honor to God for not only sending His son to us, but for His resurrection and the promise/hope of our own resurrection into everlasting life.

For me that is a good reason to celebrate Easter each and every Sunday. How often do you go to church and worship. How many times do you walk out of church and not remember anything that the Pastor of your church said. Sundays are days to focus on the gift given us so that we are able to go out into our work weeks enlivened and filled with the Holy Spirit. Filled so that each and every person we see, meet, interact with in any way is able to see our worship by our actions. Opening ourselves up to the leadership of the Holy Spirit will give us the guidance to be the people God calls us to be.

Remember that Sunday is not the only day we worship our God and our Savior. Every day of the week is an opportunity to praise Him, give glory to Him and to seek Him in all we do. Loving God and your neighbor are important and includes everyone in your love for God.

Sometimes I believe that the biggest enemy of the church today are those who go to church on Sunday and do not live Sunday all week. Our lives must reflect our beliefs and our faith. Is your life a reflection of what you believe?

Have a blessed day worshipping your God and Savior in all you do with all you meet.
