Here is the crew that faced all the hungry young adults at Lamar U. We had a great time.
From right to left are Randy Branch, Wanda Barron, Frankie Cronk (the boss), Billy Brossette, Connie Pike (sarge), Katherine Kendig and Heidi Viator.
Frankie did allow us to take a break.
Volunteers helping out, being servants and really serving. 190 young adults are a lot of mouths to feed and a lot of spaghetti to put onto plates. We not only furnished the spaghetti but also garlic bread, meatballs, salad and cookies. Oh yeah and lemonade too. Lots of smiling faces on both sides of the counter say it was a very good thing to do. We all had a chance to give and receive a blessing. Being a servant with a heart for serving is what you see in the pictures above. Come and join us. This is basically the same crew that serves at the soup kitchen every third and fifth Friday. We missed not having Dean Brossette, Jo Lynn and Buddy Withrow, Vivien and Clint Smith with us this time.
Thanks to Josh Hale, the Pastor at Wesley Student Center, for allowing us to come and be a part of his ministry there. Look him up if you are out that way. He would love to show you around and fill you in on what he does for the students.
Have a blessed day, each and every day,
Randy
