Wesley UMC News

Our Church has been dressed up quite a bit.  The flowers in the pots and the miniature Magnolias have given our church front a much needed   new look that improves the curb appeal of our facility.

This “curb appeal” does not have any thing to do with Who we worship or why we worship our God and His Son.  What the “curb appeal” does say is that we are an alive congregation and we care about the facility that God has given us and that we are willing to take care of it in a way that is pleasing to God. After all we are all called to be good stewards of the good gifts that God has given us.

Thanks to Nancy and Wellman Richards for their coordination of the repairs and purchases. Wellman, Doug McDaniels, Lloyd Craig and Fred Collins for being there to actually do the work or oversee it.

Thanks to Frey’s Nursery (Mark and Terry Frey) for their donations as well.

Some of the other recent maintenance type items we have taken care of are new carpet in the hallway area on the north side of the sanctuary, new toilets in the fellowship hall, moving the A.C. Vents in the fellowship hall and replacing the faucet assembly in the fellowship hall kitchen.  Last year we had the floors in the fellowship hall repainted and had the inside of the Sanctuary building painted.  All of this work is done because people care about the place they worship in and want to take care of all that God has given them.

Don’t forget that our buildings and material possessions need regular maintenance and so do our bodies and souls.  Spend some time with the Lord each day and see the rebuilding and blessings that will come your way.

God’s Peace and Blessings to all, Pastor Randy
